Terms of service

Drift is registration and payment software. Organizations use it to list what they run and to take signups. Drift does not run programs, does not employ coaches, and is not a party to what an organization promises its participants.

Your agreement about the program itself is with the organization. Its cancellation and refund terms, its waivers and any rules it publishes are shown to you before you pay and are kept with your registration.

Give accurate information, especially names, dates of birth and emergency contacts, because organizations rely on them to run a session safely.

Refunds are the organization's decision under the terms you agreed to. Drift processes what the organization asks for; it does not overrule it.

You are the merchant of record. Payments are made to your own Stripe account, you pay Stripe's processing fees, and disputes and chargebacks are yours. Drift takes its fee out of each transaction, on the terms of the plan you are on.

You are responsible for what you sell and what you publish: accurate dates and prices, terms you honour, and any waiver or consent your activity needs. You must have the right to run the activity, and to charge for it.

You control who on your staff has access. Keep that list current — an invitation you forget about is an account you did not intend to give out.

Use participant information only to run your programs. Do not export it to sell, and do not send marketing you have no permission to send.

Use Drift to collect money for something you are not actually providing. Upload content you have no right to. Attempt to reach another organization's data, or to break, overload or probe the service. Misrepresent who you are.

We can suspend an account that does these things, and we will tell you why.

We work to keep Drift available and correct, and we cannot promise it will never be unavailable or never contain a fault. Drift is not liable for what an organization does or fails to do, and our liability for the service itself is limited to the fees paid to us for it.

Keep your own copy of anything you would be unable to reconstruct. Rosters and payments can be exported at any time.

An organization can stop using Drift at any time by closing itself from its settings: registrations stop, its public pages come down, and everything it has stays readable to its staff. Payments still scheduled on a family's registration are paused rather than collected, and reminders stop with them; reopening resumes that schedule where it left off. Payouts already in flight complete. Export your rosters and payments before or after closing — closing changes nothing about what is there.

An organization can only be deleted outright if nobody has ever registered with it. Once a family has registered, those records are that family's record as much as the organization's, so they stay while the organization is on Drift; removing an organization that has history is a support request, not a button.

We may change these terms; material changes are announced in the app before they take effect.
